I am thankful for...

This is our home, view from the golf course.

I am thankful for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning and gutters that need fixing because it means I have a home.... I am thankful for the piles of laundry and ironing because it means my loved ones are nearby. - Nancie J. Carmody

We have been asked, 'why would you want to house sit when you have your own house?' Well for us, even though we have a beautiful home, occasionally it is wonderful to explore new horizons and see places we have never experienced before. House sitting is a great way to do this. We enjoy living in a home, rather than spending time at a resort or hotel. We enjoy the everyday tasks, caring for pets, and walking. So we walk in a new area with the family pet, they get to have loving company and we get to see new and sometimes wonderful sites.

An artistic letterbox found on a morning walk.

One's home is like a delicious piece of pie

One's home is like a delicious piece of pie you order in a restaurant on a country road one cozy evening - the best piece of pie you have ever eaten in your life - and can never find again. After you leave home, you may find yourself feeling homesick, even if you have a new home that has nicer wallpaper and a more efficient dishwasher than the home in which you grew up. Lemony Snicket

We enjoy being able to care for homes while the owner is away. We can help you get to the airport if you need a lift and will send you regular texts or emails to let you know how your pet is while you are away. In return, we are able to find those special little cafes, if your doggie likes a pupucino let us know and we can take him/her along with us on our coffee break.

Where we love is home

Where we love is home... home that our feet may leave,
but not our hearts.

Ahhh home, it's great to have a lovely place to live in. But there also comes a time when we need to get away, to see family or explore a new place. We have placed a few of our own house pictures on this site, so that you can see where we live.

If your pet usually goes on a visit to the cafe with you, let us know and we will take them along on our outings.
